4th Of July

Our 4th of July weekend was great! Justin was off on Friday, so guess what that meant? I had help cleaning Friday morning...HAPPY DAY. It was great to be done with all the cleaning by 10:00. After we finished cleaning we got ready and spent the afternoon running errands, and spending the day together. We had lots of fun doing nothing real exciting.

Saturday we got up early and got ready. We went to the Yates house at 9:30 and left for the parade. The girls had so much fun at the parade. It was actually a fun little parade. It lasted over an hour from start to finish, I was actually impressed. The girls got LOTS of popsicles, and candy.

After the parade we went and found a nice shady place to eat lunch and relax for a bit. They had music playing over some loud speakers so the girls danced and had fun. After awhile we went and walked around this little craft fair, and then we went to Walmart to pick up more water, and a few other things for the firework show. It was a long day, but we had fun. By the time the fireworks started I was a little exhausted and tired of the rain. The fireworks ended at 11:30, and it took us an hour to get home because the traffic was so bad. We will definitely do things differently next year. Scout was asleep before the fireworks even started, and Tegan fell asleep right after they started. It was a long day, and I wasn't surprised when they didn't last. We had a good day, and we were glad to spend it with friends!

Fireworks are not very child friendly. It would be kinda fun to get a babysitter and make a romantic date out of it! Glad you guys had fun.

Sounds like a fun 4th! We opted to skip fireworks due to the lateness of the night, traffic, etc. Thanks for the info on the choir. Did you guys go? I thought they were awesome!
