Yellowstone/Colter Bay Trip Part Two...

On Wednesday we all got ready, and we were going to spend the day in Jackson Hole. I was pretty excited that we were going to spend our day in civilization, and out of the dirt. My girls seemed to find the blackest dirt, and role around it in the whole time we were camping!! The main reason for the trip to Jackson was to go to the rodeo that night, but we were going to go early so we could look around. We had a picnic, and then we spent sometime walking around and looking in different stores. Then we spent some time at the visitor center.

Thursday we spent some time at the Visitor Center, and Indian Museum in Colter Bay. While we were there the girls started to act up, and I was spending most of my time in the bathroom with the girls so I decided we needed to head back to camp and take naps. Scout ended up sleeping most of the afternoon which was really nice. After she woke up we decided to take the little kids fishing. Tegan and Scout were so excited!!

Tegan with the "kissing fish" as she called it. It was actually a sucker. She had no idea, and she was so excited, so we all went along with the idea that she caught a great fish. Then when we got back to camp, and after she forgot about it my dad disposed of the sucker fish.

Friday was a VERY lazy day. By the time we knew it, it was 3:00 and we had just finished cleaning up breakfast and getting ready for the day. Once we finally got moving we took a drive to the Jackson Lake Lodge. My mom wanted to show us the view from the lodge. So we did that, and then took the kids fishing again. This time wasn't as enjoyable because the mosquitoes were horrible. We didn't stay long, and then headed back to camp to have dinner, and sit by the campfire. I think the entire time we were there we only had a campfire 3 times. We would just get home too late, and it was the last thing we wanted to do after a long day.

More fishing

So that is it for our trip. On Saturday we packed up and headed home. My parent's and my sister and her three boys were able to bring me home, and spend the weekend with us. They got to see where we live for the first time since moving here. We had a great time. We celebrated Justin's birthday, watched a movie in the back yard, went to church, and then were able to go to Tegan's swim lesson on Monday before leaving. It was a short visit, but they will be back in a few weeks.
