Once a month the girls get out of school early because the teachers have meetings. This month when they got out early a friend told us that the fire station was doing tours that day. We decided to take the kids after school, and I am so glad we did. The girls had such a good time. Tegan was all about climbing in the trucks, and trying on the gear. Scout was a little more reserved, and she didn't want anything to do with trying on the gear. I think their favorite thing was the soda and cookies that they were handing out. The guy that was showing us around kept telling the kids to go ahead and get more cookies and soda. So of course, even though we told the kids no more, they went ahead because he said it was okay.:) It was a fun outing for all of us, and I am glad we got the chance to go.
