I am so glad that another weekend is starting. I am in desperate need of a weekend break. Today went by pretty fast because we spent the day cleaning, and then I had to hear all day "is it time for Kayli's party now?" Today our niece Kayli turned One, and she was having her party tonight. Tegan has been so excited about it ever since we went shopping for her present yesterday. She asked me all day yesterday if it was time for her party. It is times like those that I wish kids could understand time! I was glad when it was time to leave today because she finally stopped asking. Anyway, we had a good time with family. We had pizza, birthday cake, and watched Kayli open her presents. Kayli had a princess party so Tegan and Scout dressed up in their princess stuff. Actually, it is Tegan's princess stuff, but Scout wore one too, and looked so cute in it.
Kayli got her own cake to eat, but she was really funny about it because she didn't like it when she got all messy (she tried it out, but just wasn't interested). So, Jamie took it upon herself to rub cake all over Tegan while she stood next to Kayli. Tegan thought it was funny at first, and then she started to cry. So we rubbed cake all over Jamie's face. When that still didn't make Tegan happy, Jamie got the idea to rub Grandma's face with cake, so they both got a handful of cake and went after Grandma. After rubbing cake all over Grandma Tegan was laughing again! They were all good sports about it, and everyone had a good laugh.
MY WONDERFUL FAMILY
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.
