MY WONDERFUL FAMILY
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.

What A Fun Day We Had...

Last night we had Joe, Jessica, and the girls over for dinner. We had such a good time hanging out with our new friends. The girls just went crazy digging up the back yard. They would get so excited because they thought that they found a Dinosaur bone in our yard. It was so fun to watch them all play together, and have such a good time. Scout was so funny because she didn't really play with the other girls she just walked around aimlessly doing her own thing. Mostly she was eating, but she didn't have a care in the world, and she didn't pay attention to anything else that was going on around her. She is just so funny because she is just so content with herself. Anyway, we were glad that the Yates were able to come over, and we really enjoyed the time visiting.
Today we got up early and got ready to go to the Temple. We finally made it this time, and Jessica was so wonderful and watched the girls even though she was trying to plan Madelyn's Birthday. Thanks SO MUCH!!! It was a much needed visit to the Temple, and I feel like I can maybe go on for another month.
After picking up the girls we came home had a quick lunch then headed out to run a couple of errands. We ended up over at Justin's parent's house for awhile before heading to Madelyn's party. While at Grandma and Grandpa's Tegan helped Grandpa mow the lawn. Tegan really enjoys getting to do this with Grandpa!!
Then we headed off to the party. Oh my goodness, how much fun did Tegan have? Well, let me tell you...she had TONS. The sprinklers came on in the middle of the party which was completely unexpected. The adults were trying very hard to not get wet. Justin and Joe were even stepping on the sprinklers to keep them from ruining the cupcakes and everything else. The kids on the other hand started running through them. They just thought it was the greatest thing ever. Actually it was a nice way for them to cool off since it was 90 degrees!! Then they found a puddle of water and decided that the puddle would be fun to jump in. Even Tegan got into it. I didn't think that she would since she doesn't like to have wet clothes, but she didn't want to leave. She had so much fun swinging, playing with bubbles, digging in the sand, and playing in the water with all of her little friends. Scout on the other hand was not having so much fun. While we were at Grandma and Grandpa's I put sunscreen on the girls. Well, Scout started rubbing her eyes and got the sunscreen in her eyes. She had red eyes that were irritated, and a horrible runny nose the whole time. She was a trooper though. As long as she had bubbles to blow she was good. I just felt so bad for her because you could tell that her eyes hurt. We had a great day, and the weather was beautiful. We are so excited for summer, and the opportunity to play outside, and hand out with friends.

This is what happened as soon as we left the party. Poor girl was exhausted!!

This was Tegan after we left the party, and she finished her ice cream that she took to go. She really enjoyed that ice cream!!

The was taken a few minutes later. They were both just exhausted from all the excitement from the day.
