No Naps, and Late Nights Make LOTS Of Fun For Everyone...

Saturday we took the kids bowling with Stormy and Tylee. We have been planning this for some time, and finally we were able to go. I kept it a surprise all day because I didn't want to disappoint the girls again if we didn't get to go this time. Plus, I used it as leverage to get them to help me clean up their mess.

I don't know how to really describe this bowling trip. The first time we took the girls bowling they LOVED it. Every time we drive by the bowling alley they ask if we can go back so I figured this would be a great family outing. Well, we get there and the girls run in all excited, and then the fun starts. Tylee absolutely refused to put on the bowling shoes. This is kind of funny knowing Tylee. She really is too cute. So for a few minutes she was upset, and then we decided to just let her bowl without any shoes on. When we did that she perked right up, and started bowling. The girls had fun for a while bowling, and dancing around. Then Tegan was getting upset because she wasn't hitting any of the pins (she had gotten a strike the last time, and was fully expecting to get one again) so she was getting upset. Scout loved when it was her turn, and loved to give high fives. For a brief second the kids were fighting over who's ball was who's. Then Tegan just got tired all together and decided to lay on the bench instead of bowl, and Scout was running to the drinking fountain instead of bowling, and Tylee was climbing over the bench. Really it was very exciting. Justin left after about 30 minutes because he had to be at the church for a meeting leaving Stormy and I to finish up with the girls. We decided one game was all the FUN we could handle. We were loosing them quickly after Justin left. We finished up, and for some reason thought Walmart would be a good idea. Call us crazy!! When the girls weren't running around they were crying. We made it out in one piece, and decided we had seriously had all the fun we could handle. We decided to feed them dinner, and put them to bed. In their defense they hadn't taken naps on Friday, and we had kept the girls up till 10 on Friday night because Stormy had us over for dinner, and then none of the girls napped on Saturday so they were REALLY tired. Bedtime came early that night, and it was a good thing for everyone! We will have to try bowling again sometime when the girls aren't so tired.

She was happy with her turn

This looks like a good place to lay down!

Watching for the ball to come back was SUPER exciting for the girls
